Today I’m going to share a collection of nineteen promotional images created for the Leaf company’s vending trade, likely during the early 1970’s.
I mentioned these in my 300th post behind-the-scenes video and as I stated there, these were probably created as part of a salesman’s kit or a trade show presentation of some kind. Each image incorporates a specific Leaf vending machine insert card but what makes these stand out are how the unique gum or candy products are arranged and captured with all manner of related props. They’re true works of confectionery pop art.
I wrote about my affection for vintage vending insert cards last year, so finding these promotional photos that incorporate the actual product is pretty amazing.
I don’t have much to add to these images as they really do speak for themselves, but I will point out that you won’t find these anywhere else online so these are all CollectingCandy.com exclusives!

When I acquired these they didn’t come in any kind of organized or indexed file, so it’s quite possible there were more photos like this produced for other Leaf products. Maybe these were the only ones to survive in this stash? I can’t be certain. For now I’m just awfully happy to be able to share these with you.

I wonder if there was a licensing agreement with 7-up for “the no-cola.” If not, I’d be shocked if they didn’t get sued over that picture.
