This Year’s Valentine’s M&M’s Packs – a full-set of 12!

CC_Valentine M&M's TITLE PLATE

Continuing our candy countdown to Valentine’s Day, today I’ll be sharing the set of twelve standard-sized Valentine M&M’s packs.  First released during Valentine’s season in 2012, these are back for a second year and they’re a great set of M&M’s wrappers.

As I’ve brought up in previous posts, while M&M’s has been producing holiday-themed large packages for many years, 2011 was the first time that Mars made holiday-themed M&M’s in standard-sized packs.

Here on CollectingCandy, I’ve already covered the Candy Corn Halloween M&M’s packs and the Christmas Mint M&M’s packs – and while today’s Valentine packs don’t get a unique flavor they’re still pretty neat.  Four of the M&M’s mascot characters are represented;  Green, Red, Blue and Yellow.

The set consists of six different M&M’s chocolate packs and six M&M’s peanut packs.  Here they are:

Mars - M&M's Milk Chocolate Valentine's Day holiday packs - 2011-2012 - 1-3

Mars – M&M’s Milk Chocolate Valentine’s Day holiday packs – 2011-2012 – RED

Mars - M&M's Milk Chocolate Valentine's Day holiday packs - 2011-2012 - 2-6

Mars – M&M’s Milk Chocolate Valentine’s Day holiday packs – 2011-2012 – Green

As with the other standard-sized holiday M&M’s packs, there are two package back variations:

Mars - M&M's Milk Chocolate Valentine's Day holiday pack backs - 2011-2012

Mars – M&M’s Milk Chocolate Valentine’s Day holiday pack backs – 2011-2012

Here are the six different Peanut M&M packs:

Mars - M&M's Peanut Valentine's Day holiday packs - 2011-2012 - 1-3

Mars – M&M’s Peanut Valentine’s Day holiday packs – 2011-2012 – Blue

Mars - M&M's Peanut Valentine's Day holiday packs - 2011-2012 - 4-6

Mars – M&M’s Peanut Valentine’s Day holiday packs – 2011-2012 – Yellow

Mars - M&M's Peanut Valentine's Day holiday pack backs - 2011-2012

Mars – M&M’s Peanut Valentine’s Day holiday pack backs – 2011-2012

That’s all twelve of the standard-sized Valentine’s M&M’s packs.

These Valentine packs have been offered for two years running, so it’ll be interesting to see if they change them up for next year.  As a collector I hope they do, as it would be fun to collect a new and different set – but I wouldn’t be surprised to see these return for a couple more years.

I have a few other related pieces to share today.  Last items to show today are four different fun-size Valentine’s M&M’s packs.  To my knowledge, these were only offered in the milk chocolate flavor.

Mars - M&M's Milk Chocolate - Valentine's Fun Size pack - 2012 - Red

Mars – M&M’s Milk Chocolate – Valentine’s Fun Size pack – 2012 – Red

Mars - M&M's Milk Chocolate - Valentine's Fun Size pack - 2012 - Pink

Mars – M&M’s Milk Chocolate – Valentine’s Fun Size pack – 2012 – Pink

And that’s everything I’ve got to share today on Valentine’s M&M’s packs.  Drop back by tomorrow for more Valentine’s candy fun.

See you next time!

It’s hard keeping up with all the special M&M packaging — but that’s a good thing, too.
