Cadbury’s Batman Bar! Since there’s some movie coming out this weekend…

This weekend marks the premiere of the third (and final) Batman movie from Christopher Nolan; Batman – The Dark Knight Rises.   In order to celebrate the film’s release, I’ll be marking it by sharing an offering from 1992, and out of Cadbury’s New Zealand branch – the Batman Bar.

Though released during the heyday of the 1990’s Batman film run, this bar instead chose the illustrated comic book Batman for its overall look and feel.  I quite like it, and I think it stands apart from so much of the film-inspired materials that were out at the time:

That’s all I was planning to show today, but I decided I’d throw in something from here in the USA.

Here’s a partial set of Willy Wonka Nerds boxes, with Batman “Detective Cards” on them:

Wonka – Nerds – Tropical Double-Dipped – Batman Cards 1 of 8 – Robin Vs Catwoman – candy box – 1997

Wonka – Nerds – Tropical Double-Dipped – Batman Cards 2 of 8 – Robin Vs Poison Ivy – candy box – 1997

Wonka – Nerds – Tropical Double-Dipped – Batman Cards 3 of 8 – Batman vs Two-Face – candy box – 1997

Wonka – Nerds – Tropical Double-Dipped – Batman Cards 4 of 8 – Robin Vs The Riddler – candy box – 1997

Wonka – Nerds – Tropical Double-Dipped – Batman Cards 6 of 8 – Batman vs The Penguin – candy box – 1997

And finally… something not candy-related at all, but it was sitting on my shelf.  A fun custom figure from an artist I worked with during my time in the X-Men Editorial Office, Sean Chen:

And that’s all for today.  See you next time!
